After my retirement, I started drawing and painting. Have tried watercolour, acrylic, pastel, oil, colored pencils and pencil. What seems to be my thing is pencil, or at least it’s pencil that I find the most pleasure in working with.
I’ve tested a variety of pens and other accessories and have come up with a set of pens and accessories that I feel work very well for my needs at a reasonable price. This is what my set of tools looks like
If we take it all point by point.

Paper
So we have this paper thing. I’m not a connoisseur when it comes to paper, but I always choose between one of two types depending on the motif.
For nature and landscapes I drive exclusively with Daler & Rowney Smooth Heavyweight which has a certain toothing
For portraits and buildings I use very smooth Bristol type paper
In addition, I have two charcoal pencils 8B and 14B for those times when I want to do something extra dark.
Staedtler Mars Lumograph
Yes that sums up everything I use. At some point there may be exceptions but this is pretty much all
