JanÅke Isaksson, Left Laestander, Lasse Lundberg, Joakim Granström/Wallsten, Richard Olofsson, Wiveka Wikström. The group Westpoint was created in 1989 by Leif Laestander (Keyboard – Kalix). Shortly afterwards, we were able to expand the group with Lasse Lundberg (Drums – Piteå), Joakim Granström (Guitar, Singing – Piteå), Richard Olofsson (Vocals – Piteå) and Wiveka Wikström (choir, keyboard – Luleå). We were active in the years 1989 to 1992 with gigs in Kalix, Luleå, Piteå, Älvsbyn and Umeå. We also managed to produce a single and a music video as well as a lot of self-written songs. Live we mixed covers in the same style as our own songs
During the beginning of the 2000s, Janåke and Leif continued to produce music together with Joakim Granström (now Wallsten), who also had his own career under the stage name Joakim Niels. In this constellation we acted only as a studio band and had no ambitions to play live.
